The National Guard Association of Rhode Island's (NGARI) Corporate Membership program is designed to build effective communications between the Association, and the local business community.

The goal of building the corporate relationship is to enhance the readiness of the Rhode Island National Guard by supporting and assisting businesses in understanding the needs of the Rhode Island National Guard and how their business can help fulfill the needs and mission of the Rhode Island National Guard. In addition, NGARI has the ability to assist businesses with a network of associations throughout the country. Through this network we have the opportunity to enhancing their product or service to not only benefit Ocean State Guardsmen but Guard members nationwide.

We also assist businesses in understanding the NGAUS resolution process. Each legislative session, NGAUS asks for state and industry input to assist in identifying and forming state/industry partnership teams as it prepares its legislative priorities each year. The corporate relationship built with NGARI, will work together to submit the legislative priorities that Rhode Island had deemed important for continued success of our missions.

To date, members of our National Guard, on their own free time, have agreed to assist Rhode Island companies in their efforts to attract Department of Defense contracts. Those efforts include: Reviewing their products and their particular applications in the field arranging for field testing of products, assisted with their sales and marketing to the National Guard throughout the US.  We now have developed a Corporate Advisory Panel (CAP) and through this panel we have developed our mission and vision statements.

"The Rhode Island National Guard Association's Corporate Advisory Panel provides a bridge between the corporate community and the Rhode Island National Guard Association. The council serves as a conduit through which business can formally affiliate with the organization to further cooperation, collaboration, and partnerships in support of the Rhode Island National Guard."

CAP Vision statement:

"To mutually explore opportunities to build and increase corporate exposure so as to enhance the readiness of the Rhode Island National Guard."

Each Corporate Membership helps us support

Hasbro Children’s Hospital. NGARI is the Official Sponsor of the Rhode Island National Guard Airshow. This airshow has contributed over $1,000,000 to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Soldier’s & Airman’s Relief Fund. This fund assists families of the Rhode Island National Guard in financial need due to extended deployments or other difficult times.

NGARI Scholarship Foundation. This foundation provides financial grants for higher education to children of Rhode Island National Guard members.

NGARI Awards Program. This program recognizes individuals who display meritorious service to the military and outstanding community service.

NGARI Life Insurance Plan. This plan provides financial assistance if a National Guardsmen sacrifices their life in the line of duty or other circumstances.
