Our congratulations and thanks go out to Anthony DeFusco. His hard work and ability to professionally present the NGARI legislation up on "the hill" was a major contributing factor to our success with our legislative initiatives.

Your Voice was heard!

Your NGARI support enabled the following bills to be passed by the RI Legislature:

1. Free college tuition for all guardsman and women. They can now take up to 5 courses per semester.

2. Free college tuition for spouses and children of guardsmen and women who died in the line of duty.

3. Temporary Disability Insurance benefits are now available to all servicemen and women who live in RI upon their return from active duty. Retroactive to 2 March 2002.

4. Benefits available under USERRA are now available to Rhode Island servicemen and women.

5. Life Insurance premium reimbursements to all mobilized soldiers retroactive to 1 July 04.

6. The establishment of National Guard License Plates

7. The Awarding of the Rhode Island Defense Service Medal for RI National Guard members serving during the War on Terrorism
